Cook Up Some Musical Sounds

0.0/5 rating (0 votes)

What you'll need:

  • Length of monofilament
  • Spatula
  • Slotted spoons
  • Whisk
  • Vegetable peeler
  • Drink strainer
  • Apple slicer

How to make it:

  • To assemble the chime, thread a 30-inch length of monofilament through each item so that you have a double line (as you would if you were threading a needle).
  • Knot the line above the item several times and then slide on a few beads. (The knot should be big enough to keep the bead from sliding down to rest directly on the utensil, where it can alter the sound of the chime.)
  • Insert the doubled line up through a hole in the colander and slide on another bead. Again, tie the line above the bead to create a knot that's too big to pull back through.
  • Once all the items are attached, simply tie the ends of another piece of monofilament to the handles of the colander, and your wind chime is ready to hang.
